We asked aviation professionals who visited our website what they found most frustrating about their job search. Take a look at our results below! We surveyed 690 aviation professionals on Aviation Job Search. Here’s what they told us about their job search:

What do you find the most frustrating about searching for jobs?

35% of aviation professionals told us the most frustrating part of a job search is not hearing back from an employer about a job. As recruiters, it is tough to respond to every applicant, but for those who reach the final stages, an effort should be made to contact them - after all, they’ll have spent a lot of time preparing, maybe traveling etc. just to interview with you.

21% said creating a CV was frustrating, while 21% again said applying for jobs online was frustrating.

11% said they found the waiting period after completing an interview the most exasperating.

8% said preparing for an interview was the most frustrating aspect, while 4% said a poor recruitment process was the worst. When asked to elaborate, one of the top reasons that came out was regarding not hearing back about a job after applying.

What was the most frustrating part about writing a CV?

26% said the time it takes to write a CV was the most frustrating aspect.

25% said formatting frustrated them, while 19% said writing their personal summary.

16% said writing about their work experience was frustrating because it took up a lot of time, and 7% said the skills section was challenging.

6% said writing that writing about their education was the most frustrating part of writing their CV.

What’s the most frustrating part of applying for jobs online?

25% of aviation professionals said adverts that don’t display a salary band frustrated them when applying for a new job.

23% said a huge list of requirements on the job advert was frustrating.

14% said that a job advert that doesn’t include enough information on the company itself was frustrating when applying for a new job, while 13% said not enough information about the role.

12% said a huge emphasis on past experience frustrated them when applying for a new job, while 8% said other. 5% said they found spelling errors/grammatical errors frustrating on a job advert.
