As part of the wider Ryanair Group, Ryanair Engineering Germany plays an important role in supporting one of Europe's largest airline operations. With Ryanair planning to expand its fleet by more than 300 aircraft by 2030, investment in engineering capability has become increasingly important across its network.
This growth created a substantial recruitment requirement for Ryanair Engineering Germany. The business was looking to attract aviation maintenance professionals across a range of disciplines, including Mechanics, Licensed Engineers, Sheet Metal Workers and Trainee Aircraft Mechanics for both Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
Vacancies were spread across several engineering stations throughout Germany, including Berlin, Nuremberg, Cologne and other locations, alongside recruitment activity supporting the development of a new hangar facility in Berlin.
Making sure vacancies get seen - and filled
Recruiting for multiple technical disciplines across several locations requires a different approach from filling a single specialist vacancy. The campaign needed to generate awareness among experienced maintenance professionals, reach candidates with a variety of qualifications and experience levels, and support hiring activity across several sites simultaneously.
To meet these requirements, Ryanair Engineering Germany partnered with Aviation Job Search on a multi-channel recruitment campaign designed to maximise visibility among aviation engineering professionals.
The foundation of the campaign was a dedicated job advertising strategy, ensuring vacancies were visible to aviation maintenance candidates actively searching for new opportunities. This was supported by targeted email marketing to relevant audiences within the Aviation Job Search database, helping place the vacancies directly in front of engineers and mechanics whose backgrounds aligned with the roles on offer.

Additional promotion was delivered through Aviation Job Search social media channels, reaching an audience of more than 500,000 aviation professionals. This helped extend campaign visibility beyond active job seekers and introduced the opportunities to candidates who may not have been actively searching at the time.
To further strengthen candidate reach, suitable professionals were also approached directly through LinkedIn. This additional layer of targeted outreach helped connect Ryanair Engineering Germany with individuals whose experience closely matched the requirements of specific vacancies across its engineering network.
The combination of job advertising, targeted email activity, social promotion and direct candidate outreach created broad visibility across the aviation maintenance community while maintaining relevance to the roles being advertised.
A successful campaign, and a satisfied client
The campaign generated strong engagement across multiple engineering disciplines and delivered applications from experienced aviation professionals throughout Germany and the wider European market. Candidates applied across a range of positions, helping support recruitment objectives at several locations simultaneously.
For Ryanair Engineering Germany, the value of the campaign extended beyond application numbers. The ability to promote multiple vacancies through a coordinated recruitment strategy helped create awareness of opportunities across the organisation, including positions linked to the expansion of engineering infrastructure in Berlin.
Throughout the campaign, close collaboration between the recruitment teams ensured activity could be adapted where required and that vacancies received consistent visibility among relevant audiences.
Qi Deng from Ryanair Engineering Germany said: "I would like to thank you again throughout the whole process, you are very responsive, supportive and have given us lots of valuable suggestions. We are very happy with the Aviation Job Search platform, which has enabled us to receive a large number of applications across several positions. We would definitely come back to you again."
The campaign highlighted the importance of combining multiple recruitment channels when hiring for technical aviation roles at scale. Engineers, mechanics and maintenance professionals engage with opportunities through different platforms and at different stages of their careers. By bringing together targeted advertising, email marketing, social media promotion and direct candidate outreach, Ryanair Engineering Germany was able to engage a broad and relevant audience across several recruitment categories.
With continued fleet growth planned across the wider Ryanair Group, including Lauda Air, attracting skilled engineering talent remains a critical priority. Through its partnership with Aviation Job Search, Ryanair Engineering Germany successfully increased visibility for its vacancies, reached qualified maintenance professionals and generated applications across a range of technical roles, supporting growth across its engineering operation and future expansion plans.
